Perhaps, or maybe not.
Perhaps this
one will leave, and that one will come.
They might
just fall in love, or this one too shall depart.
Leaves will
fall, this time might be the last.
Another
might grow, or perhaps not.
That one
might live, too early to predict.
Or is it time to die? Another inopportune goodbye.
This one could sustain on its own, too good to be true.
Perhaps life’s meant to hang on someone else’s door.
One day things might change, let’s hope only for good.
Perhaps one
day, our lives won’t be stuck on “perhaps” anymore.

Beautiful poem Soumi. Life is full of complexities of ifs, buts and perhaps!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. And surprisingly, they are also enough for us to keep going.
DeleteThanks for the comment.:)
life is all about uncertainties but that's the most interesting aspect of life. beautifully written as always!
ReplyDeletebtw, love your 'about me' note. hopefully, one day we will get to read you in print :)
Well... a life stuck on perhaps is quite sickening too, as far as I am concerned. But yeah, you have a point there.:)
DeleteAnd thanks ya! But my poems on print... well, one of these days I might come up with something titled "Far fetched Dreams" :p
P.s. *confessions*
I've kinda started to look forward to your comments. It's like an assurance.. also you being my only non-fictional follower.:p :)
Great thoughts... Really liked it a lot.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, glad you liked it. :)
