A DAY...
I woke up this morning,
it was very next to usual,
peaceful and gay.
Then I had a weird instinct,
felt something abysmal,
But it’s just a mere day.
People went off to work,
Met folks they knew on their way.
I walked all alone with my thoughts
Accompanying me, like every other day.
They laughed, they gabbed
and toiled all day.
Couldn’t perceive what I feared.
They kept saying,
bah! It’s just another day.
Then approached the evening
In huddle the birds flew away.
Up there I saw a fire orange spot,
which the obscure kept off wiping.
Ya, it all befell each & every day.
The planet cuddled inside
that dark velvety blanket
then you finally came,
and asked me “is there something
you want to say?”
I took a deep sigh of peace, and
realized all my dreads were so lame
Embraced in you... I purred in your ear
Darling I love you! and without you
It was just another day.
it was very next to usual,
peaceful and gay.
