If I Were….

I sat to think of my wishes one day,
You will be amazed, if I tell you
It was to be a river someday.
Imagine! if you can,
My solemn aim would be just to flow
No matter what’s the pace, fast or slow.
I would have known my destination,
nothing would stop me and then into the ocean.

No needs, no fear, nothing to lure.
Then I could have achieved my wish
to be deep down pure.
But I am also afraid of a few things,
What would happen if I cross the margins?

Well things can go indiscreet,
Which I know could cause destruction, and
I don’t want folks to have an abysmal perception.
So I thought to live in high
and be a bird to fly in the sky.

To be a bird would have been good,
It would have been easy to move on,
Whenever I needed and whenever I could.

No borders no walls no boundaries could stop me
I could travel round the world,
Everything always just for free.
Days would have been daily fest,
Search for food and get some rest.
But life would have been very customary
And I don’t want it to be so ordinary.

I would love to be a mountain too…
then nobody could hurt me and
no one could ignore me
while passing through.

I would be shelter to so many lives
all of them will be jovial
when during the rains flora will thrive.
But the clouds could be unfair to either side of me
And an unjust life is not what I want it to be.

So I reckon it’s hard to tell
which life on earth is perfectly well.
By god’s grace I’ve a life to live
which is also lacking,
but I don’t wanna crib.
Cause here i can love and make my choice
This is the only form which
provide words to my voice.

Here I have hopes, dreams and desires,
family and friends, as precious as sapphires.
Though there come the bad times too
But I have faith that after this night
There comes a day, waiting for us,
for me and for  you.
